Too made-up?

So why is being a low-maintenance person suddenly so fashionable all-over again? Simplicity is the most ultimate sophistication! Oh yes, it definitely is! But if just-a-little make-up can truly ENHANCE your beauty, that should not be bad too! It's even good at times :) A popular question on Quora goes like - ''How do men feel about women who don't expend much effort on appearances (e.g., clothes, makeup)?'' Have a look at two most up-voted answers by men : The point is, if you look good, you look good.  Guys generally don't know (even if they think they do) or care much about how much effort was expended to achieve the outcome, they just focus on the outcome. .And remember, a guy who says he likes girls who don't put too much effort into their appearance is like a five-year-old kid asking for plain tuna fish.  Nod and smile, but whatever you do in response to this statement, do not stop wearing flattering clothing, using appropriate amounts of ...

"I think women are foolish to pretend they are equal to men, they are far superior and always have been" - William Golding When I first read this quote, I was, to be honest, shocked first of all as to why would ANY man submit this easily in the ever-going battle of sexes! I read more on him. A British novelist, a Nobel Laureate, a teacher and a campaigner of women suffrage. Is it out of plain sympathy? or sensitization to the sufferings women have been subjected to? or admiration for bravery with elegance a woman can portray? Any input/comment would be highly appreciated from the audience (if any ;) to help decipher a clearer meaning. I am NO feminist. I say women are definitely equal to men,if not superior. Though they have been at receiving end for quite long in human history, but in present times when we should talk of gender EQUALITY, can we be justified in speaking of superiority of any gender? ...
